The Tongue Can Break Bone

This is a beautiful & insightful Italian proverb.

Personally, my mother attempted to teach me the sticks & stones thing….but the Italian proverb is actually true.

Words have so much power, that they literally can change the course of a person’s life in a millisecond!

Don’t believe me? Go walk over to a man you love or respect & tell him he’s “a bad mofo.” Watch the biggest smile go across his face, his chest puff out & him literally grow 10 ft tall right in front of you!

The opposite is true as well. Careless & false words can send someone into a depression lasting years. Breaking all the bones in their spiritual body.

We live in a very self obsessed world now, where empathy is at an all time low. Even at this time of year.

“The tongue has no bone, but it can break bone.”
