The Hits Just Keep Coming
“𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈”
Andy Frisella put an email out this morning titled that.
He went on further to say,
“𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑖𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑘𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑟𝑦...𝐵𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑜 𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑟𝑦, 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑠𝑒𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑏𝑣𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠…”
This is something I had already figured out years ago. The more you do, the more hits come. The more kids you have, the more hits come.
Protein Powder Pancakes
My son Michael was having a difficult time drinking his shakes. He just couldn’t get himself to get them down. I decided to find alternatives to get the protein in him he desired in order to perform his races better!
Anger is Good! It Causes Change.
𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑳𝑳𝒀 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒚!
I can promise you, each time I've made a correction, adjustment, or change in my life it was due to emotion! Without it, most of us would stay little bumps on a log.
Emotion is often the inspiration to cause us to act and realize a change is even required to be made.
Think about it:
“Tanja….You Can’t Do That!”
𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐚….𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭!
You can’t run a marathon with no training.
You can’t lose weight.
You can’t train people.
You know nothing about Real Estate.
You know nothing about Event Planning.
You know nothing about running a business.
Who’s going to listen to you?
You can’t do all of that at the same time!
Managing People
In my earlier days, I was a General Manager for Bally Total fitness & Fitness Connection. I helped open the original Fitness Connections in San Antonio & Austin. I also managed at retail companies such as Express & NY & Company.
I’m not new to management or leadership positions.
It’s always fascinating to find that you find the same kind of people working at places & the same type of personalities. It’s because no matter where you go, or what you’re doing, people are “peopley” & you are ALWAYS dealing with people no matter rank, income, or otherwise.
Stress + No Sleep = No Weight Loss
I started with a new coaching client today, & they had a VERY familiar story. I listened to what they had to say & it sounded strikingly similar to mine!
~ I’m in chronic pain ALL THE TIME
~ Every diet I try doesn’t work
~ I exercise & not a damn pound comes off
~ Every test that every doctor runs says I’m in perfect health & they don’t know what’s wrong
“Don’t Lose!” - Quote from my Dad
So I started reading “75 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑨 𝑻𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑻𝒐 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒓 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇” by Andy Frisella
Now, I wasn’t a fat kid like him, I did play sports & excelled at all of them, & depending on what school I was at, I was or was mostly popular or known.
HOWEVER! Everyone always told me I was dumb & frankly, they still do! I can relate so much to that part of his story! Plus honestly…. The family stuff too.
Non Action is the Complacency that Kills
In all honesty, most people overthink too much these days!
They plan to plan. Have meetings for meetings… What actually goes to plan?
Complacency only kills when you’re at war. Nowhere else really. In civilian life, not acting gets you nowhere! It’s the actual complacency that kills.
Tell them to Mind Their Own Plate!
𝑰’𝒎 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 & 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓𝒔!
On any front, if the person standing in front of you hasn’t attained the goal you’re seeking, & they’re giving you advice….I’m giving you permission to ask them where their “Wisdom” came from? Because if it’s not from experience….it isn’t “Wisdom”. They will have no empathy for your path, & they can’t chart a course for you to get there!
When you work out you get exactly what you put in!
I love to exercise and work out, because I always get out of it, exactly what I put into it!
There’s nothing to interfere with the results when I choose to take action! It all comes back to you in direct proportion.
My Legs Can Be Stubborn Sometimes
My legs can be so stubborn at times! Mind over matter is a real thing when it comes to them & my mind is frequently having to tell them who’s boss & put them back in line!
One Bite At A Time
“There is only one way to eat an elephant: a bite at a time." ~ Desmond Tutu
The only way I've stayed on track the past couple of years with my Health and Fitness goals is by taking everything moment by moment, and one day at a time. One workout at a time. One meal at a time. One snack at a time. It's completely overwhelming to make drastic changes in lifestyle, do them all at once, remember it all, know it all, and expect it to be sustainable.
How to Sabotage Your Health And Fitness Plan!
Here's exactly how to Sabotage your new health and fitness program!
Most of us get really passionate, inspired, and excited when we're ready to make a lifestyle change, or health and fitness change! Often, people think they have to change everything all at once! Huge mistake!
